Coastal Olympic National Park

There are numerous day hikes nearby and during the summer the Mora Ranger Station will at times have activities scheduled for the public.  The local beaches offer fishing, surfing, kayaking and, of course, a daily sunset for your enjoyment.  The Mora Ranger Station is about a half mile from the house where you can find information, tide tables and back country information.

Now that drones are no longer allowed in national parks, this video is a great birds eye view of the beaches just 2 miles down the road from the house

Lake Crescent to La Push

James Island, La Push and First Beach are on the south side of the Quillayute River and about 2 miles away as the raven flies.

Ruby Beach

Ruby Beach is about 27 miles south of Forks on Highway 101. This is a perfect day trip and you can also visit the Duncan Cedar, one of the largest trees on Earth

Riato Beach

Rialto Beach was named by a magician who built a mansion near the parking lot.  You can still see the remains
